Ham reportedly interviewed for the Los Angeles Lakers job and will be back for a second in-person interview with the Hornets.
The 48-year-old has spent the last four seasons working on Mike Budenholzer's staff in Milwaukee. In 2021, Ham was a part of the Bucks' NBA title team.
Ham has been an assistant coach in the NBA since 2011, spending two seasons with the Lakers and five with the Atlanta Hawks before joining the Bucks.
The Hornets' search may be coming to an end. Still, they reportedly have more candidates to interview on the horizon.
The Hornets have interviewed several candidates for their head coaching job, including former Lakers head coach Frank Vogel, former Houston Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni and Golden State Warriors assistant Kenny Atkinson.
