Celtics’ Big 3 seem to have dropped longtime beef

After years of sniping, the famous Big 3 of the Boston Celtics reunited at the NBA 75 All-Star celebration Sunday in Cleveland.

Former Celtic Paul Pierce posted a series of photos from the evening to his Instagram page on Monday. Among them was a shot of him posing together with Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett, marking a significant thaw in the relationship.

Garnett and Allen have been at odds for years. The beef stems from Allen’s decision to leave the Celtics for the rival Miami Heat, which Garnett treated as a betrayal. As recently as last year, Garnett still appeared to be taking obvious shots at Allen. The two were spotted near each other earlier Sunday, but things still looked pretty awkward.

Is this a permanent peace, or did Pierce just manage to get them to put everything aside long enough to take a photo? We don’t know, but at this point, anything is a sign of progress.
