The Chicago Bulls have six games left in the regular season, and they will all be played in a span of 10 days. It will be a lot of action for the team, and for a squad that has dealt with a lot of injuries, it is a bit worrisome. With the postseason looming, it is crucial that the Bulls stay healthy down the stretch, and head coach Billy Donovan recently mentioned that he has to talk with his guys about getting the right amount of rest. One player that plays more than anyone is DeMar DeRozan, and he doesn’t believe in rest.

After the Bulls lost to the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night, Billy Donovan discussed the busy stretch that team has to close out the regular season. He knows that health is the most important thing, and he wants to make sure his guys get the proper amount of rest.

“I think everybody’s a little bit different,” Billy Donovan said to the media. “There’s certain guys that find a good rhythm of playing. And there’s some guys that may need rest. So we’ll try to make those decisions when they come, but certainly with what’s in front of us, we feel like we still have a lot to play for.”

DeMar DeRozan is one of those guys that finds a good rhythm while playing. He has played more minutes than anyone else on the team this season, and he hasn’t complained about it once. He knows that this is the most important part of the season, and he doesn’t want to rest.

I don’t believe in that (resting),” DeRozan said, according to an article from NBA.com. “I believe in all in until it’s all said and done. Can’t baby it from here on out, especially me. I just want to go all out whatever the circumstances, whatever is called for, to make sure we’re playing the right way and have a rhythm and ride this thing out. We’ve got six games in 10 days. We need this to refresh our mind, our body, our spirit, get back out there those 10 days and take advantage. We didn’t give enough resistance (against Atlanta) and they played well and shot the ball. There were shots we felt we had a great contest, but they were knocking them down. But it is a lot we can take from (the game). Part for us losing the game at home is something we should remember going into these next six games and if it’s them we are playing, understand what went wrong and what we need to do and not let that happen again because once we get there it’s NCAA tournament win or go home. We’re going to fight as long as we can. As long as there’s time on the clock, we’re going to put up a fight no matter what ever it may be. Guys are extremely resilient on this team and one thing I know nobody is going to lay down.”

There will likely be some players on the Bulls that take it easy a bit down the stretch. DeMar DeRozan is not one of those guys.
