Fans Weigh In On Jalen Hood-Schifino's Performance In Spurs Loss

As NBA summer league kicked off, one of the biggest names that Laker fans wanted to see was the teams first round selection, guard Jalen Hood-Schifino. Fans knew that he was a solid player but they wanted to see him in action before making any real narratives about the guy. Well, through two games, you could saw that he has impressed and may be earning some rotation minutes with the Lakers this season.

In the Lakers second game against the San Antonio Spurs, Hood-Schifino looked calm and collected as opposed to how he was in game one. Nerves seemed to get the best of him in the first half of the teams opening game but he settled down and started to figure out the pace of play.

Here are some Laker fans reactions to his performance against the Spurs. He finished with 20 points, three rebounds and four assists for the game.

He is already making an impact on Laker Nation and that isn't easy to do. Hood-Schifino has looked under control running the offense and has shown a strong ability to get to the rim. His jump shot may take some time to fully progress but the instincts are there for him on both sides of the ball.

Playing in the summer league can be intimidating for some as it's the first real NBA level competition that many guys face but so far, Hood-Schifino has shown he belongs. You can see why the team drafted him in the first round and he should only continue to grow his game as the summer goes on.
