Harrison Barnes Shines in Kings 122-107 Win vs. Hawks

After a four-game losing streak, the Sacramento Kings got a much-needed three-day rest before hosting the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night. Sacramento has been notorious for losing to teams without their best player this season, as Kings fans were shaking when Hawks All-Star point guard Trae Young was ruled out.

Despite the poor narrative, the Kings got the job done against Atlanta in a 122-107 win. The Kings were led by veteran forward Harrison Barnes with 32 points, his highest-scoring game since opening night against the Utah Jazz when he poured in 33. Barnes shot 10-20 from the field and 4-8 from deep, potentially reviving his career in Sacramento with the strong performance.

Barnes has been involved in many trade rumors, and although he was the best offensive player on the court for the Kings on Monday, his inconsistency drives fans crazy.

Kings All-NBA big man Domantas Sabonis continued to shine, contributing 14 points, 21 rebounds, and six assists. His star counterpart, De'Aaron Fox, was quite disappointing as he continued to look off. Fox contributed just 12 points and one assist, shooting 5-16 from the field and 0-5 from deep. 

Coming off four consecutive losses, Sacramento's supporting cast stepped up. Behind 43 bench points, the "other guys" made up for the lack of scoring from Sacramento's stars.

The Kings break their losing streak, as they can look to build momentum back by visiting the Golden State Warriors on Thursday.
