David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Former Cavaliers shooting guard RJ Nembhard has agreed to a contract with Italian club Pallacanestro Reggiana, via Alessandro Maggi of Sportando.

Nembhard, 23, is 6-5 and went undrafted out of Texas Christian in 2021, gaining his first NBA experience as a member of the Heat’s summer team. He signed a two-way deal with Cleveland in October 2021, appearing in 14 games.

He did his best work for the Cleveland Charge, averaging 21.9 points, 8.2 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 25 games.

Nembhard began this season with the Cavs, as they extended him a qualifying offer at the end of June. Cleveland waived him on Oct. 15, four days before the start of the regular season.

  • Free agent center Justin Hamilton has signed with the Guangdong Southern Tigers of China for the remainder of the season, per Alberto De Roa of HoopsHype. Hamilton is 7-0 and last appeared in the NBA with the Nets during the 2016-17 season.
  • Former lottery pick Dragan Bender suffered an ACL injury while playing for Spanish club Monbus Obradoiro over the weekend. The extent of the injury has yet to be determined. Bender, 25, is 7-0 and was the No. 4 overall pick by the Suns in 2016.
