Joakim Noah has continued his circuit around the international basketball community. With the Chicago Bulls announcing a game in France in 2023, Noah participated in an interview with NBA France. In the interview, he gave his Bulls greats starting lineup.

Noah’s Lineup

  • PG: Derrick Rose
  • SG: Michael Jordan
  • SF: Scottie Pippen
  • PF: Luol Deng
  • C: Luc Longley

Noah’s back court comes at no surprise. Derrick Rose’s MVP year was with Noah as his wing man. Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all-time. Scottie Pippen was one of the best defenders in the 90’s. Where Noah varies from most is his front court.

At power forward he went with Luol Deng. While Deng was a great player on both sides of the ball, he is more of a small forward. Most importantly, this is the spot where most fans would have slotted Dennis Rodman. He is the only person in Bulls history other than Noah that was a bigger force on the boards. Rodman was one of the league’s best rebounders in general. “The Worm” is twelfth on the NBA rebounding list but one of the few modern era players on said list. His 13.1 rebounds per game will be hard to replicate.

The biggest shock in Noah’s lineup is Luc Longley instead of himself. Longley had a respectable NBA career, but he was never close to the two-time All-Star that Noah was. Even if Noah was going the humble route of not picking himself, there are better options. That includes Horace Grant, Charles Oakley, Pau Gasol, Ben Wallace, Clifford Ray, Dave Corzine, and Artis Gilmore.

Wether or not Noah’s line up is perfect or not, it is great to see Noah representing the Bulls internationally. Noah has always been a stand up guy making the organization proud by always growing the basketball community.
