After an ankle surgery four months ago, Kris Dunn is set to make his Atlanta Hawks debut tonight against the Pistons, though he will be on a minutes restriction.

De’Andre Hunter, Cam Reddish, Tony Snell, and Trae Young are out for tonight’s game, but the bigger story is Dunn, who has yet to play this season. The recovery has been longer than expected, but Atlanta’s backcourt defense could use his services. Dunn averaged 2.0 steals per game — second in the league — a season ago, but he will certainly be brought along slowly since he hasn’t played in an NBA game since January of 2020.
