Lakers Injury Report: Key Celtics Big Questionable Vs LA
USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics renew their long rivalry tonight from the TD Garden in Boston. These games between the two sides are always full of surprises, and sometimes even memorable finishes.

Los Angeles enters on a two-game losing streak, and they will be looking to find some semblance of normality for themselves. The team has been surrounded by drama all season long, but a win over their long-standing rivals would be a welcome sight.

Boston may be without one of their key players in the game, as center Luke Kornet is questionable with a left hamstring strain, per the NBA's latest injury report. Kornet may not be a household name, but he has fit in well for the NBA-best Celtics.

In 33 games, Kornet is averaging 5.3 points and 3.9 rebounds per contest. He gives them an extra big body off the bench, and his 7'1 frame provides plenty of length on the floor. Kornet also averages one block per matchup as well.

The Celtics will be a major problem for the Lakers to defend, especially given how bad their defense has been of late. Los Angeles has really struggled to contain opponents, and Boston will look to take advantage of that fact early on.

The Lakers are reeling right now, and the Celtics would love nothing more than to help continue that fact. While the rivalry isn't what it once was, the two sides know bragging rights are at stake whenever they meet up.

Boston took the first matchup of the season on Christmas Day, so they will be going for the sweep. The hope is that the Lakers can come out with some energy and shock everyone by getting a massive victory.
