Milwaukee Bucks Player Is Still A Free Agent
USA TODAY Sports

Meyers Leonard is coming off a season where he played in nine games (and two NBA playoff games) for the Milwaukee Bucks and averaged 4.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per contest while shooting 48.3% from the field and 38.9% from the three-point range.

Leonard had last played in the NBA in 2020-21 for the Miami Heat but signed with the Bucks in February and played 12.7 minutes per game.

Nearly four weeks into NBA free agency, the 31-year-old remains available to sign with any team in the league.

Leonard was initially the 11th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft out of Illinois and has also played for the Portland Trail Blazers and Miami Heat over his ten seasons in the league.

His career averages are 5.6 points and 3.9 rebounds per contest while shooting 48.2% from the field and 39.0% from the three-point range in 456 regular season games (he has also appeared in 30 NBA playoff games).

Since Leonard is a good shooter and has extensive experience, he could be an excellent addition to a contending team's bench as a backup center.

As for the Bucks, they finished the regular season as the first seed in the Eastern Conference and had the best record in the NBA (58-24).

However, they lost to Jimmy Butler and the Heat in the first round of the NBA playoffs in five games.

The Bucks have been to the playoffs for seven straight seasons and won the 2021 NBA Championship over the Phoenix Suns
