Heat Betting Outlook

The discussion for the Miami Heat entering this game needs a bit of nuance. The Heat have completely turned it around after their long losing streak — winning now seven of their last nine contests.

The surging second half of the season Heat, a tale as old as time, seems to be coming on strong yet again. However, we need to remember that the Heat will have three players suspended and a few more injured. Butler, Bryant, and Jovic will all miss the game Monday after the incident in New Orleans.

The Heat also list Tyler Herro questionable and are confirmed to be without Rozier and Josh Richardson, both injured earlier this month. It is a bleak Heat team. One we can expect awkward rotations, slower pace, tired legs, and lower efficiency.

Kings Betting Outlook

The Kings are on the second leg of a back to back, and despite being the home team they are traveling home from Los Angeles back to Sacramento.

It is a short flight from SoCal to NorCal, but the Heat are already in Sac and waiting. In addition, the game against the Clippers was a strong win for the Kings and a very physical game.

The Kings generally do not rest players during back-to-back sets, especially in a tight postseason race, but I would not be surprised to see a deeper rotation with more bench minutes.

The Kings should also play with low efficiency. We have two teams with under indicators brewing.

Heat vs. Kings Prediction

Pick: Under 224.5 (-110)

I expect this number to close around 225.5 if Tyler Herro plays, and another two points lower if he is out. The opening line was 227 and instantly took under steam. It was a quick movement, the 227 did not last long, and was universal across sportsbooks.

There's a good chance the total of 227 will never come back, so play the best number available — and while some books are already moving to 225.5, it should land in that ballpark.

Pick: Under 224.5 (-110)
