NBA Props for Friday March 8: Big opportunity for Garland

Another .500 day with some profit-taking yesterday thanks to the obvious combo of Duncan Robinson and Andrew Nembhard. Both are undervalued most nights so don't be surprised to see them below a few more times before the end of the season.

Friday night in the NBA is pretty busy with eight games on the schedule. Miami at Oklahoma City has my attention, but the Heat are in a tough spot as they played last night. I guess Giannis visiting the Lakers has some star power too.

NBA Props for Friday, March 8

Darius Garland Over 22.5 Points (+105)

This one is all about opportunity. The Cavs are missing top scorer Donovan Mitchell, among others, and that means the ball is going to be in Garland's hands a lot. He has been inconsistent this season so we have to look past that. I also like that this game is likely close throughout. That might get us some cheapies from the line at the end. If we need them.

Ty Jones Over 11.5 Points (+100)

We were on Ty Jones earlier in the week when his total was set at just 10.5 and I like him at this number tonight too. For starters the Wizards are playing Charlotte, which grosses up everyone's numbers and means a blowout loss influence playing time is unlikely. Also, just like Monday, we are getting a positive payout for average production. You always want to hit on that.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Over 6.5 Rebounds (+114)

Jackson was back after missing a couple of games and posted another 30+ point effort with double-digit rebounds. He has never been a big rebounder in the NBA but it has been better lately and we don't need a herculean effort, just a commitment. Memphis needs him even more than we do (haha). He has played 37+ minutes in his last two games.

Buddy Hield Over 3.5 Three Pointers (+135)

Ever since Hield joined the 76ers all of his numbers are up, including his attempts and makes from deep. As a result, this is just average production for Hield with Philadelphia. The simple fact is that with all of their injuries (Tyrese Maxey is out right now too), they need him to be bombs away to have a chance. He has made multiple three-pointers in 10 straight games. The extra payoff is worth the risk for sure.
