Nets, Warriors reportedly among teams pursuing four-time All-Star Paul Millsap

Several contenders are seeking frontcourt reinforcements this summer and are reportedly interested in signing Paul Millsap.

The Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers are all pursuing the veteran power forward, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Brooklyn's interest in Millsap comes after reports that the franchise is working toward a buyout with DeAndre Jordan, Charania adds. Jordan didn't play in any of the Nets' final 16 regular-season and playoff games.

Meanwhile, the Warriors and Bulls are hoping to get back to the playoffs, and each team could use Millsap for some added frontcourt depth.

The Clippers don't necessarily need Millsap because they have Serge Ibaka and Marcus Morris. However, depth is essential in the NBA, and we saw that firsthand last season as many players suffered injuries.

Millsap helped the Denver Nuggets reach the Western Conference Finals in 2020. The 36-year-old averaged nine points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game last season while shooting 47.6% from the field.

The Lousiana Tech product has reached the playoffs in 12 of his 15 NBA seasons with the Nuggets, Utah Jazz and Atlanta Hawks and has been named an All-Star four times.
