Houston Rockets forward Jeff Green was supposed to receive his championship ring from the Denver Nuggets last Wednesday, but something went wrong and the ring was not ready to be given to Green.
When asked about this, Green was okay with it, saying, "Just a miscommunication, but that happens, you know. I don’t want people to take it out of proportion. The jeweler has the ring. I don’t know what his travel schedule was, but it was something that maybe he forgot to ship. I waited 17 years to this point, to wait one more week to get it - I’m not stressing at all. I know it’s here… I’ll have my moment and celebrate with everybody. This gives me an opportunity to have my family here to enjoy the moment."
Asked Jeff Green about the ring ceremony that wasn't: “Just a miscommunication, but that happens, you know. I don’t want people to take it out of proportion. The jeweler has the ring. I don’t know what his travel schedule was, but it was something that maybe he forgot to ship."

Whatever the issue was that caused Green to not receive his ring this night is expected to be resolved by December 8th when the Rockets come to Denver again. Green is expected to have even more family members there to celebrate on this day, which will make it even more special.

More Nuggets representation will be able to attend and more of Jeff’s family can be in Denver that couldn’t make it tonight.
It seemed Green was understanding, and is excited to celebrate on December 8th when he finally does receive his championship ring. A big piece to that title team on and off the court, Green definitely deserves his moment to celebrate becoming a champion.
