Patrick Beverley On Biggest Difference Between 76ers And Bucks: ‘Everybody Wants To Win, It’s Not About Stats’

When Sixers forward Tobias Harris called Beverley to ask him how things were going with the Bucks, Beverley said everybody wants to win in Milwaukee and no one cares about stats. 

The Bucks are 2-2 with Beverley in the lineup. Meanwhile, the Sixers are 2-2 since trading Beverley, who said on his podcast after getting traded that Daryl Morey told him he wouldn’t get traded. 

Beverley averaged 6.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.4 blocks with the Sixers while shooting 43.2% from the field, 32.1% from beyond the arc and 81.0% from the free-throw line. Philadelphia went 27-20 with the guard in the lineup. 

In four games with the Bucks, Beverley is averaging 3.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 29.4% overall, 40.0% from 3 and 50.0% from the foul line. 

The Sixers are 32-22 on the season. They are in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings. Meanwhile, the Bucks are 35-21. They are in third place in the East. 

If the season ended today, the Bucks and Sixers would play each other in the first round of the 2024 playoffs. That would be a fun series. 

Beverley, who has made three All-Defensive teams since entering the NBA in 2012, has career averages of 8.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.5 blocks with the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, Sixers and Bucks. The Chicago native is 35 years old.
