Report: Kevin Garnett Could Join Timberwolves Once Glen Taylor Sells Team
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

NBA legend Kevin Garnett could join the Minnesota Timberwolves once owner Glen Taylor sells the team to Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN.

Garnett doesn’t like Taylor, so he has been distant from the Timberwolves in recent years. However, that could change after Taylor sells the franchise to Lore and Rodriguez.

“Assuming the transaction is finalized, there is a chance Garnett will take a role with the organization, sources told ESPN,” Windhorst wrote. “He has been in a bitter dispute with Taylor and distant from the franchise in recent years.”

Garnett has a close relationship with Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns. The two were teammates during the 2015-16 campaign. Towns won the Rookie of the Year Award that season.
