Spurs signing Tyler Zeller for remainder of season in Orlando

Tyler Zeller, who hasn't played a full NBA season since 2017-18, is reportedly signing a deal with the San Antonio Spurs for the remainder of the season, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.

The move comes after the league's transaction window opened on Tuesday afternoon. Zeller becomes one of many free agents who have reportedly inked deals to spend their time at the "Most Magical Place on Earth."

Among the other players to ink deals include Joakim Noah (Los Angeles Clippers), Corey Brewer (Sacramento Kings), David Nwaba (Houston Rockets) and Anthony Tolliver (Memphis Grizzlies)

Zeller played two games for the Atlanta Hawks and four for the Memphis Grizzlies this season. Through those four games with Memphis, the 30-year-old averaged 11.5 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting 57.1 percent from the field.

Zeller, a Dallas Mavericks first-round draft pick, is the brother of Cody and Luke Zeller. Cody has had the most successful NBA career of the three, playing seven seasons with the Charlotte Hornets. Luke, on the other hand, hasn't played in the NBA since the 2012-13 season with the Phoenix Suns.

The NBA season is set to resume at Walt Disney World towards the end of next month, and while many players are excited to return, some already have opted out due to the coronavirus pandemic, including Lakers guard Avery Bradley and Washington Wizards star Davis Bertans.
