Suns Secure 2nd Straight Win, Led by Devin Booker’s 30 Points
Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Echoing their victory over the 76ers last night, the Phoenix Suns rebounded from a sluggish start to seize control in the 2nd quarter, culminating in a 128-115 win against the Atlanta Hawks.

In the opening quarter, Dejounte Murray propelled the Hawks to an early advantage, contributing 16 points. Remarkably, Murray embarked on a solo 10-0 run at one juncture.

Devin Booker was instrumental in keeping the Suns within striking distance in the 1st, netting 13 points.

Facing a 14-point deficit, the Suns ignited a 17-4 surge to kick off the 2nd quarter, with Eric Gordon making a significant impact off the bench. Gordon amassed 21 points in 24 minutes, shooting an efficient 8-for-11.

Gordon was among six Phoenix players to tally 10 or more points, joining forces with Kevin Durant (19), Bradley Beal (12), Grayson Allen (13), Devin Booker (30), and Royce O’Neale (14).

The Suns’ lead was bolstered by their stellar performance from beyond the arc, shooting 19-for-36 (52.8%) compared to the Hawks’ 11-for-30 effort.

Despite committing 17 turnovers, the night progressed smoothly for the Suns, particularly after the initial disapproval from the crowd at Footprint Center in the 1st quarter due to the double-digit deficit.

Phoenix is set to face the San Antonio Spurs in back-to-back road games starting on Saturday, with tip-off at 5 p.m.
