Warriors Make Starting Lineup Change vs. Clippers
© Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY Sports

The Golden State Warriors made a big lineup change vs. the LA Clippers on Saturday afternoon, moving veteran center Kevon Looney to the bench for Dario Saric. This an adjustment that could just be for one game, as the Warriors have been very malleable with their lineup combinations, but it makes sense for this matchup.

Looney struggled a bit vs. the Clippers in Golden State's win on Thursday, and Saric was really effective in his minutes. It was Golden State's bench in general that was dominant in the win over LA, so it seems that Steve Kerr is hoping to insert some of that juice into the starting lineup while also giving the bench some interior defense and rebounding with Looney.

The great thing about the Warriors is that everyone seems bought into Kerr's vision at all times. Having already used several different starting lineups and rotations, Kerr has had to adjust to individual matchups as well as injuries throwing things off. This has resulted in longtime starters have to accept bench roles on some nights, which Kerr is appreciative his veterans are willing to do.

The Warriors have been in constant search of some consistency and momentum, so this feels like a big game against a Clippers team that is certain to come out with a better approach than they did on Thursday.
