4-time Pro Bowler gives take on whether or not Cedric Tillman is ready for a bigger role in Browns' offense

Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Cedric Tillman, a third-round selection by the Cleveland Browns in the 2023 NFL Draft, hasn't seen much action so far during his rookie season.

Tillman has just one catch for five yards this season. But his role could be expanding starting this week against the Arizona Cardinals

The Browns traded wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones to the Detroit Lions earlier this week, which should create a bigger opportunity for Tillman in Cleveland's offense.

On Thursday, Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper, a four-time Pro-Bowler, was asked if he thinks Tillman is ready for bigger role.

"Since Ced has got here, I think his practice habits have been real good," said Cooper. "He's making a lot of plays -- especially in the jump ball situations. He learns fast. He's diligent in his approach to the game, studying, and all of those things. So, I mean, it just has to translate to the game. That's it."

Tillman's specialty is catching 50/50 balls, but he showed during the preseason that he's an excellent route runner, too.

It sounds like we could see some of those route running skills on Sunday against the Cardinals.
