A Colts legend is sick of the disrespect
USA TODAY Sports

The Pro Football Hall of Fame leaving Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne out this year seemed disrespectful if you ask me.

And Wayne's recent post on X (formerly known as Twitter) seems to point towards the WR agreeing with me.

The biggest reason given by people who agreed with Wayne being left out was "He got to play with Hall of Fame QB Peyton Manning and had a Hall of Fame WR partner in Marvin Harrison."

Wayne pushed back on that narrative by saying, "Y'all gonna stop thinking certain people made me a good football player.... Only people that made me anything is Ralph and Denise Wayne."

While Manning and Harrison were great players, to say they are the only reason that Wayne had the success he had is disrespectful and, in my opinion, simply not true. Wayne has to wait another year for a chance to enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He could enter with two former Colts teammates, Robert Mathis and Adam Vinatieri, who are also eligible.
