Dr. Neal ElAttrache is the team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Rams. This year, he's performed surgeries on professional athletes including Dodgers shortstop Gavin Lux (torn ACL) and UFC fighter Jamahal Hill (ruptured Achilles) this year.
In 2020, he performed surgeries on MLBers Chris Sale and Cody Bellinger, Saquon Barkley and Joe Burrow of the NFL and the WNBA's Kelsey Plum, who also suffered a torn Achilles.
His former clients have all rebounded well from their surgeries, and there shouldn't be any doubt that Rodgers will follow suit.
The four-time NFL MVP's season ended four plays and one pass attempt into his first regular-season game with the Jets. In the aftermath, some questioned if Rodgers, 39, would return next season or retire, as he considered doing the past two offseasons.
He reassured the team and Jets fans on Wednesday that his shortened 2023 wouldn't be his last, writing "The night is darkest before the dawn. And I shall rise yet again."
The first hurdle is past Rodgers as he gets ready for the start of the 2024 season.
