Ailing Bills sign CB Josh Norman to practice squad
Steve Roberts-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills signed 35-year-old cornerback Josh Norman to the practice squad.

The team announced the signing on Tuesday amid mounting injuries on defense. Cornerback Tre'Davious White suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 4 and Christian Benford (shoulder) was inactive in Sunday's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

Linebacker Matt Milano and defensive tackle DaQuan Jones both suffered injuries that require surgery on Sunday.

This is the second stint in Buffalo for Norman, an All-Pro selection in 2015 with the Panthers, who spent the 2020 season in Buffalo. A fifth-round selection in 2012 by Carolina, he has played in 137 regular-season games (110) starts with the Panthers, Washington, San Francisco and the Bills.

He has 497 tackles, 16 interceptions, 20 forced fumbles, seven fumble recoveries, 88 passes defensed and three touchdowns in his career.

Norman spent time on Carolina's practice squad last season and appeared in two games.

The Bills (3-2) host the New York Giants (1-4) on Sunday night.
