All-Pro believes Steelers got 'really special player' in free agency

The Steelers have been very active this offseason under new general manager Omar Khan and one All-Pro thinks they are "getting a steal" in one of their newest additions.

"Isaac [Seumalo] is a really, really special player," Eagles center Jason Kelce said. "I know we've said that here for a long time, and I still don't think people really truly grasp what he did for our room. And me personally, I think he's probably the smartest player I've ever been around. Really, really gifted physically, mentally, across the board. So I think the Steelers are getting a steal, that's a good pun, I guess."

Pittsburgh signed Seumalo to a three-year, $24M contract after he spent the first seven years of his career in Philadelphia.

Seumalo is coming off arguably the best season of his career where he started every regular season game and allowed just one sack, according to Pro Football Focus. The 29-year-old should provide an instant upgrade on the Steelers' offensive line.

Similar to the 2023 NFL Draft, Pittsburgh going offensive line may not be the flashiest move, but Seumalo could end up being the team's best free-agent addition of the offseason.

Kelce certainly thinks so as he believes the Eagles must now replace one of the best players at his position in the league.

"I think he's one of the best guards in the NFL, and I think he has been," Kelce added. "I think he's one of the most consistent players I've ever been around, one of the most consistent people I've ever been around."
