The 27-year-old played in 15 games last season for the Atlanta Falcons. Sharpe started seven games, finishing with 25 catches for 230 yards.
Sharpe played in only four games in 2020 for the Minnesota Vikings.
A fifth-round pick of the Tennessee Titans in 2016, Sharpe broke out as a rookie, hauling in 41 catches and 522 receiving yards, still career highs. He couldn't replicate his first-year success, averaging 25.5 catches and 322.5 yards over the next two seasons.
Sharpe spent his first three seasons in the NFL with the Titans starting 29 of 47 games played. Sharpe finished with 92 receptions for 1,167 yards and eight touchdowns.
The five-year veteran adds much-needed experience to the Bears' wide receiving core, including Darnell Mooney and fellow free-agent Bryon Pringle.
