The Bengals placed safety Tycen Anderson on injured reserve on Friday.

The second-year safety suffered a torn left ACL during Cincinnati's Week 8 win over San Francisco, league sources tell All Bengals. He'll miss the rest of the 2023 season.

Anderson was a key piece of Darrin Simmons' special teams unit. They could elevate veteran safety Mike Thomas from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the Bills.

Anderson had eight tackles and was on the field for 123 special teams snaps this season. The Bengals picked him in the fifth-round (166th overall) in the 2022 NFL Draft.
