Browns cut running back shortly after signing him
Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Browns have started out the week with a roster move that is rather interesting.

The Browns have waived running back Deon Jackson just two days after signing him to the active roster. Cleveland brought Jackson up on Saturday ahead of Week 7’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Kareem Hunt was questionable going into the Colts game so the Browns had to have a third back ready to go if he could not play.

Hunt ended up playing and scoring a game-winning touchdown on fourth down from a yard out.

Jackson spent the last two seasons with the Colts, interesting enough, as well as a game this season before they cut him. Following that move, the Browns added him to the practice squad.

While with the Browns, Jackson is yet to appear in a game.

Now, the Browns have a roster spot open and it very well could be what they use to sign P.J. Walker since he was elevated three times on the season.
