Browns’ Denzel Ward made sure to show everyone why he was a Pro Bowler against the NFL’s best
Thomas Shea-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL Pro Bowl isn’t what it once was and it is noticeably not as popular as a result.

Still, if finesse, big plays in space, and speed are on display often with the current Pro Bowl setup. Though it is flag football now, it can be pretty entertaining.

Cleveland Browns CB Denzel Ward delivered some entertainment on Sunday when he grabbed an interception.

Ward was able to pick off Seattle Seahawks QB Geno Smith in the corner of the end zone to force a turnover. The NFC had the ball with goal-to-go in the second quarter, so it was a timely interception for Ward. The AFC ended up falling to the NFC by a score of 64-59.

There was plenty of offense in the no-contact game just like the NFL wanted.

Ward had two interceptions in 2023 and it was his sixth straight season to start his career with at least two interceptions. The Ohio State product has 15 career interceptions since being drafted in the first round.

Cleveland’s defensive back group is a strength to this team and Ward is at the head of that trio. This made the third time that Ward has been a Pro Bowl recipient in his career.

Though the AFC lost a game that is only good for bragging rights, Ward showed up big against the league’s best players and that is something positive to take away.
