With injuries — albeit of varying degrees — to cornerbacks Carlton Davis, Sean Murphy-Bunting and Logan Ryan, the Bucs signed a young corner to their practice squad on Wednesday for a little bit of insurance.

Undrafted rookie Quandre Mosely is the newest Buc after spending the first four weeks of the season on the Seahawks’ practice squad. Before landing in Seattle, he spent the offseason with Dallas, working with the Cowboys throughout training camp and the preseason.

Mosely’s College Career Before The Bucs

Mosely’s collegiate career began with two years at Eastern Arizona Community College before he transferred to Kentucky. He spent the 2019, 2020 and 2021 seasons with the Wildcats, playing in 36 games and totaling 69 tackles, 10 passes defended, three interceptions and a sack.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Mosely fits the Bucs’ cornerback mold. Time will tell if Tampa Bay ends up needing him on the active roster, whether this weekend or down the road. He was at practice with the Bucs on Wednesday, wearing jersey No. 28.
