Cardinals send OT Josh Jones to the Texans
Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Cardinals are fully embracing the rebuild, having now sent OT Josh Jones to the Houston Texans. This move comes mere hours after the trade that sent Isaiah Simmons to the Giants.

Josh Jones, much like Simmons, was entering the final season of his contract. Additionally, they were both drafted in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Last year, Jones participated in 100% of the offensive snaps in eight of the Cardinals’ last ten games. He played a pivotal role on the offensive line as Arizona navigated through a series of injuries.

However, it was unlikely that Jones would see much playing time this year after the Cardinals drafted OT Paris Johnson Jr. 6th overall.

Now, the former University of Houston alumnus will return back home to play with the Texans.
