Chargers HC Views Morgan Fox as the Perfect Player for the Bolts
USA TODAY Sports

Morgan Fox established himself as a clear fan favorite in his first two seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers and it's very easy to see why. On an LA squad that doesn't always play the best defense, fingers can almost never be pointed in his direction.

Looking back at Fox's 2022 campaign, he made quite the impact in his first season with the Bolts. He combined for 38 tackles and was also a very reliable option as he was able to take the field in 17 games.

Therefore, it was a really no-brainer when the time rolled around for LA to offer him a new contract. He's been in the city of LA before during four seasons with the Rams but he now will play at least two more seasons in powder blue.

Head coach Brandon Staley recently described all of the positives that Fox brings to the organization and shared his beliefs on how he embodies everything he wants the Chargers to represent, quite the praise if I do say so myself.

"Foxy, No. 1, he represents our culture," said Staley. "He represents everything that we want in a football player, but then in terms of what he can do, he has versatility in the front to play a lot of different places. Then, he brings something that's hard to find in the NFL, which is interior pass rush. He has real sack production. When you have an interior pass rusher that can rush like he can, it gives you an advantage."

We cannot wait to see how much better Fox plays this year with some Chargers experience under his belt already. This is a squad that has some huge expectations and a player like Fox will help bring those to life.
