Chargers Injury News: Gerald Everett's Status Uncertain After New Ailment Arises
USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Chargers exited Week 10 with a pair of injuries to two of their pass catchers. The first was their star wide receiver Keenan Allen, who briefly left Sunday's game due to a shoulder injury. He ended up finishing the game and came into this week as questionable. However, all signs point to Allen being out there for Week 11.

The other injury was to starting tight end Gerald Everett. Everett appeared to have injured his back in the Week 10 loss- at least, that's what we all thought. On Thursday, we learned that it wasn't a back injury but a chest injury.

The team updated the nature of the injury on Thursday after initially calling it a back injury. Nonetheless, if Everett were to miss Week 11, LA could be down two tight ends as TE2, Donald Parham Jr., is  dealing with a hip injury but was seen in practice.

LA added former Charger tight end Stephen Anderson to the practice squad for reinforcement. If worse comes to worse on Sunday, Anderson could be added to the roster.

Still, the new development of Everett's injury is quite odd, especially this late in the week. Whatever the injury, we hope Everett will be healthy enough to play in a pivotal Week 11 matchup that could determine their playoff fate.
