Chargers Injury Report: Bolts Place Center On IR
USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Chargers have placed center Will Clapp on injured reserve following their game against the Las Vegas Raiders last week. The team has signed lineman Brent Laing to the practice squad and also has signed Cameron Tom from the practice squad.

Clapp has spent the last few seasons with the Bolts, and he spent some time with the New Orleans Saints before that. He had taken over for starter Corey Linsley, who also suffered a season-ending injury.

This is just another hit to the Chargers offensive line, that has been a major concern this year. They have been decimated by the injury bug, and their offensive line has taken the most hits.

Even though their season is over playoff-wise, the Chargers still need to finish out their games the rest of the way. They currently sit with a record of 5-9 on the season and will have a chance to play spoiler over their last few games.

Head coach Brandon Staley has been fired, so maybe something will look a little different for the Bolts down the stretch. They play the Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, and Kansas City Chiefs in their last few games. Each of these teams is fighting for their playoff lives, so the Chargers will be tested.
