Chiefs Fans Have Realize Matt Nagy Is Their Problem
Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Watching the Kansas City Chiefs' offensive struggles has been pretty refreshing for NFL fans. The Chiefs have had one of the most dominant offenses the past few years, but this season they look like a completely different unit than before.

People have joked that KC's offensive struggles are a result of the Taylor Swift curse, who if you didn't know is in a relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce . However, Chicago Bears fans know all too well that is not true. The Chiefs' stagnant offense is a result of former Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy being in charge of calling plays. It seems that Chiefs fans have come to the same conclusion.

Even Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was visibly frustrated with his play calling.

After he was let go by the Bears, Nagy returned to the Chiefs to once again work on Andy Reid's staff. Nagy was with the Chiefs prior to accepting the Bears head coach position in 2018.

In 2022, Nagy served as a senior assistant and as quarterbacks coach. This offseason, the Chiefs lost offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy to the Washington Commanders and Nagy was promoted to the position with the Chiefs.

The Chiefs do not appear to be the Chiefs of old, and there is one common denominator that is separating them from those dominant offenses. Matt Nagy appears to be the issue with the Kansas City Chiefs offense.
