C.J. Uzomah ready to recruit Packers' Aaron Rodgers to Jets

New York Jets tight end C.J. Uzomah sounds ready to recruit Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

"I’m with everyone else," Uzomah said during the "Chris Rose Football Show with C.J. Uzomah" podcast, as shared by Kevin Harrish of The Comeback. "I’m gonna be on social media a little bit, saying 'hey, if this is a landing spot you want to come to, we’ve got the pieces, we’ve got a bunch of young guys that are hungry who will listen to what your older self has to say.'"

Jets owner Woody Johnson and head coach Robert Saleh indicated last month the club could spend some big money this offseason on a proven quarterback. 

Since that time, the Jets have repeatedly been linked in rumors with Rodgers, and such whispers only grew louder after New York hired Nathaniel Hackett, Rodgers' former offensive coordinator with the Packers, to be its new OC. 

It's also believed the Las Vegas Raiders could make a move for Rodgers to reunite him with All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams. 

Earlier this week, outspoken Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson directly stated that Rodgers should choose Gang Green of the two organizations because "we have a better team than the Raiders." 

Some have theorized that Rodgers could mentor 2021 first-round draft pick Zach Wilson after Wilson endured a disastrous second pro season.
