Cooper Kupp apparently in favor of a Rams-Robert Woods reunion

Robert Woods hadn’t been released but for one hour before a former teammate began recruiting him to come back to his former team.

The Tennessee Titans cut the 30-year-old wideout on Wednesday in a move that saved approximately $12 million, and Woods reacted to the news by asking his Twitter followers where his next destination should be.

Former Los Angeles Rams teammate Cooper Kupp wasted little time hinting that Woods should return to where he won a Super Bowl a little over a year ago.

Woods, who was traded to Tennessee for a 2023 sixth-round pick, had a disappointing year 2022 season, totaling just 53 receptions on 91 targets for 527 yards and two touchdowns. He played in all 17 games after tearing his ACL the previous season.

Although he stated he was completely healthy, Woods ever quite looked the player he was pre-ACL injury.

Prior to his stint with the Titans, Woods spent five seasons with the Rams, recording 367 receptions, 4,626 yards and 37 touchdowns, including the only two 1,000-yard seasons of his career in 2018 and 2019.

Kupp’s best seasons came when playing opposite of Woods. The 29-year-old wideout had his first 1,000-yard season in 2019 (Woods had a 1,000-yard season that year as well).

Kupp recorded his best season in 2021 (145 receptions, 1,947 yards, 16 touchdowns) when Woods was also on the team, though he was limited to just nine games due to injury.

The Rams have the 191st overall pick (the 14th pick of the sixth round) in this year’s draft thanks to the Woods trade.
