Criminal investigation into Von Miller turned over to D.A.

Halfway through January, Kieran Nicholson and Ryan O'Halloran of the Denver Post confirmed that Denver Broncos star linebacker Von Miller was under investigation by police in Parker, Colorado following allegations that have remained undisclosed.

Per Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, the results of that investigation have been turned over to the 18th Judicial District District Attorney in Colorado for review. As of Tuesday afternoon, Miller officially faces no charges:

An eight-time Pro Bowl selection, Miller missed the entire 2020 season because of a severe ankle injury. The Broncos haven't yet exercised the team option for the 2021 campaign attached to Miller's contract that carries a salary-cap hit of $22.125 million, and it's unknown if the veteran who turns 32 years old next month could face league discipline under the NFL's personal conduct policy.

For now, Miller's status with the Broncos and as an active player, in general, remains up in the air until more about the investigation is revealed.
