Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott embrace at midfield after Cowboys-Patriots game
Mandatory Credit: Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

For the first time in their NFL careers, Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott were opponents on Sunday. But the two former teammates couldn’t hold back their excitement to see each other when the game ended.

Elliott entered AT&T Stadium wearing a Patriots uniform. Prescott is still starting for the Cowboys, the team that drafted both players in 2016. Although Dallas cruised to an easy 38-3 victory, it was what happened after that captured a lot of attention.

It wasn’t much, but you can feel the joy both Prescott and Elliott got after seeing each other after the game. The two embraced after the game, both with big smiles on their faces.

It was a really cool moment between two players who spent seven years on the same squad. They may not be wearing the same uniform any longer, but there’s still plenty of love between the two.

Prescott finished Sunday’s game completing 28-of-34 passes for 261 yards with a touchdown. Elliott finished the evening with 16 rushing yards and six receiving yards on eight total touches for the Patriots.

The final results are important, for sure. But we all love seeing these types of moments in sports.
