Prior to discussing football and the state of his franchise, Houston Texans general manager Nick Caserio had an insightful message Tuesday during the first day of the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine.

Among the possible topics of interest to Texans fans that are expected to dominate the airwaves and headlines this week at the Combine include the Deshaun Watson/quarterback situation, the beginning of the Lovie Smith era and how the organization plans to bounce back from their dismal 4-13 campaign in 2021. Before talking about those subjects though, Caserio joined a growing list of prominent sports figures to address the ongoing Russian invasion.

Last week, Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev expressed his thoughts literally "on camera" after a victory, while soccer players have also expressed opposition to the attacks. It was also reported on Monday that FIFA and UEFA had suspended Russia from the World Cup.
