Eagles WR suffers knee injury during Week 18 game
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown. Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles had plenty of problems heading into Week 18, and they may now have another huge one.

A.J. Brown suffered a potentially significant knee injury during the first quarter of the Eagles’ game against the New York Giants on Sunday.

The star wide receiver caught a pass over the middle of the field and took a few steps before having the ball punched out by defensive back Nick McCloud.

Brown immediately grabbed at his right knee. He appeared to be in serious pain.

Brown eventually limped off the field. He was listed as questionable to return.

The Eagles had already clinched at least the No. 5 seed in the NFC playoffs heading into Sunday. They were fighting for the NFC East title, which they could capture by beating the Giants and having the Dallas Cowboys lose to the Washington Commanders.

Brown, who has seemed openly frustrated with the Eagles recently, is arguably Philadelphia’s most important offensive player outside of Jalen Hurts.

A significant injury to him would be a huge blow to the Eagles’ chances of making a deep run.
