For the first three quarters, the Washington Football Team didn’t have many highlights on offense Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. That’s with the exception of one terrific, leaping touchdown grab by wide receiver Cam Sims over Cowboys cornerback and DMV native Trevon Diggs.

Sims high-pointed the football pass from Taylor Heinicke, came down with a knee in bounds of the end zone for the score.

Cam Sims had a slight step on Trevon Diggs, who was playing soft and using the sidelines as an aide. The throw from Heinicke got hung up in the air, allowing Diggs to get in position to challenge the throw. Sims went up and took it from the NFL’s interception leader.

On the field, Diggs showed his former Alabama teammate respect. Then Diggs tipped his hat more to Sims after the game.

Sims finished the game with three catches and a game-high 69 receiving yards, including his 43-yard touchdown. With uncertainty surrounding the concussion of fellow Washington receiver Terry McLaurin, Sims might have an argument for getting more snaps and opportunities moving forward.
