Former Bengals CB Adam 'Pacman' Jones arrested, charged with misdemeanor assault

Former Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones has found himself in more legal trouble.

According to WCPO, Jones was arrested early Monday morning in Ohio and charged with misdemeanor assault. He is accused of punching and kicking another person in the head until they were unconscious.

Jones retired from the NFL in 2019 after finishing the 2018 campaign with the Denver Broncos. He dealt with several off-field issues during his 12-year career.

The 37-year-old was involved in a shooting outside a Las Vegas strip club in 2007 that led to a no-contest plea on disorderly conduct charges. Jones was ordered to pay more than $11 million to the shooting victims and missed the 2007 season for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

In 2008, he was involved in an alcohol-related incident in a downtown Dallas hotel with a bodyguard assigned to him by the Cowboys. He was not arrested and no charges were filed, but NFL commissioner Roger Goodell suspended him indefinitely. He missed the 2009 season.
