Former Bengals Defensive End Sentenced to Six Months in Jail
USA TODAY Sports

Former Bengals player Michael Johnson got booked into Dallas County Jail in Texas on Monday for not paying thousands of dollars in child support.

Dallas County Judge Kimberly Brown ruled he must spend 180 days in jail. The 2017 Walter Payton Man of the Year Nominee suited up in Cincinnati for nine seasons.

The sentencing stems from $196,000 in unpaid attorney fees, along with child and spousal support to his wife, Dennice Johnson. She and her attorney are arguing Johnson has more than $10 million in assets after he argued that he can't make the payments.

Johnson entered the league in 2009 and played nine seasons with the Bengals and one for the Buccaneers.
