According to Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, former Dallas Cowboys running back Marion Barber was found dead in his apartment on Wednesday.

A cause of death has yet to be released. Barber was 38 years old.

According to a Frisco police spokesperson, "Officers are currently out on a welfare concern, but we are unable to provide any further information at this time."

Barber played seven seasons in the NFL for the Cowboys and Chicago Bears, from 2005 to 2011. In 99 career NFL games, Barber compiled 4,780 rushing yards and 53 touchdowns.
