Former Oklahoma State Cowboys Helping Baltimore Ravens to NFL's Best Record

A couple of former Cowboys are helping the Baltimore Ravens become one of the NFL’s best teams.

While Oklahoma State just capped off a 10-win season with a Texas Bowl victory over Texas A&M, two players who helped OSU to 10-win years in the past are shining at the next level. On Sunday, the Ravens clinched their AFC North division title. Their win against the Miami Dolphins also clinched the AFC’s No. 1 seed.

As he has been all season, Justice Hill was in the middle of Baltimore’s success. The running back went for 112 scrimmage yards in Sunday’s 56-19 win and added a 20-yard receiving touchdown that got Baltimore its first points.

This season, Hill has started five games at running back for the Ravens, going for 387 rushing yards, the fourth-most on the team. He is also fourth in scrimmage yards, making him a reliable weapon for the team with the NFL’s best record.

He was also a reliable weapon in his time at OSU. Hill’s best season with the Cowboys came in the 2017 campaign when they went 10-3.

With 1,467 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns, Hill led the Big 12 in both categories and was part of OSU’s big three alongside Mason Rudolph and James Washington. His best performance came against Oklahoma when he rushed for 228 yards in the wild Bedlam loss.

But Hill is not the only Cowboy contributing to the Ravens’ remarkable season. Wide receiver Tylan Wallace nearly won the Biletnikoff as a Cowboy in 2018 with 1,491 yards and 12 touchdowns but has not seen the same success in the NFL.

So far this season, he has not caught a single pass. Yet, he won a game for the Ravens. In overtime against the Los Angeles Rams, Wallace returned a punt 76 yards to seal a walk-off victory for the Ravens in the middle of their current seven-game winning streak.

While both have already had storied careers in college, Hill and Wallace will attempt to etch their names into history as Super Bowl champions over the next few weeks.
