Houston Texans Pro Bowl Player Survives a Scare After Being Questionable to Return in Wild Card Game
Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Texans are trying to find a way to defeat the Cleveland Browns in the first game of the 2024 NFL playoffs. However, they have been met with early adversity. Earlier, WR Noah Brown went down with a shoulder injury. Later on, they feared potentially losing a Pro Bowl player for the rest of the game.

Laremy Tunsil Went Down

Texans Pro Bowl LT Laremy Tunsil collapsed on the field earlier in the game. After that, he was taken to the medical tent. Later, Kathyrn Tappen of NBC reported that Tunsil would be questionable to return to this game due to a left knee injury.

However, on the Texans’ next touchdown drive, Tunsil was back on the field. As a result, QB C.J. Stroud got the protection he needed to deliver a dime for a touchdown pass to Dalton Schultz. Now, Houston leads Cleveland 24-14.

This was an injury that kept Tunsil out for three games during the regular season. It is not clear if this injury is related to those previous issues, or if the Texans were just being cautious.

Houston Texans Moving Forward

As mentioned above, this is not the first injury the Texans are dealing with in this game. However, Houston has done a good job moving forward. At halftime, they lead the Browns 24-14 and hope to keep that lead.
