Hunter Henry not ruling out return to Chargers in 2021 due to Justin Herbert

Hunter Henry is set to become a free agent this month. However, he's not ruling out a return to the Los Angeles Chargers.

The star tight end told TMZ Sports, "I'm not ruling out the Chargers, and I won't rule out the Chargers." As for why he's not ruling out the franchise, Henry says he loves the team's young quarterback Justin Herbert.

"My favorite quarterback?" Henry said. "Shoot, I love Herbie. That's my guy!"

With Herbert on board for the 2020 campaign, Henry had the second-best season of his career, catching 60 passes for 613 yards and four touchdowns.

It's not surprising that Henry isn't ruling out the Chargers. He has spent his entire career with the franchise. However, the 26-year-old admitted his decision will come down to finances and whether L.A. can make a compelling offer.

Henry told TMZ Sports that he doesn't have a preferred landing spot and is willing to listen to all offers once free agency begins.
