Jets' Breece Hall talks about Aaron Rodgers rumors

New York Jets rookie running back Breece Hall has noticed the numerous rumors linking his employer with Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers this offseason.

"You can definitely connect the dots and start to make your assumptions, but in this league, you never know," Hall told Sports Seriously’s Mackenzie Salmon about the Jets possibly landing Rodgers, as shared by USA Today/Jets Wire. "I’m just excited to see what (Jets general manager Joe Douglas) does and what moves he makes, and I feel like these past few years he’s done a great job of getting the right people in this building."

Earlier this week, Rodgers mentioned Hall among current Jets players while discussing trade rumors during "The Pat McAfee Show." That was before the Jets hired Nathaniel Hackett, Rodgers' former offensive coordinator with the Packers, to be their new coordinator on Thursday. Since that move, in-the-know individuals such as Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio and SNY NFL insider Connor Hughes have indicated Rodgers relocating to the Big Apple is a real possibility if he wishes to continue playing.

Others aren't quite as convinced, but Hall made it known he believes Rodgers could get the Jets "to the Promised Land" of a Super Bowl. Hall also said he spoke with fellow former Iowa State Cyclones star and current Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard after the Jets won in Green Bay this past fall.

"He says Aaron Rodgers is a real chill and down-to-earth guy. [He] sounds like a real cool guy to be around," Hall remarked about his interaction with Lazard.

Interestingly, Lazard took to Twitter on Friday to merely say "thank you" to somebody or something. That message understandably caused some to think he could follow Rodgers if the future Hall of Famer leaves Green Bay, potentially for New York/New Jersey.

Hall isn't the only member of the Jets talking about the New York region's hottest football-related story. Rookie cornerback Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner sounded in favor of the club acquiring Rodgers during a recent appearance on ESPN Radio.
