The New Orleans Saints have released veteran cornerback Bradley Roby. Pro Football Talk reported the news on Tuesday, and it was essentially confirmed by the former Ohio State star in a message on social media.
News of the release comes as NFL teams trim their rosters down to 53 players for the regular season. Roby has played nine years in the league.

Roby spent the last two seasons with the Saints. In his two years with the team, the cornerback played in 27 games and totaled 59 tackles, 10 passes defended and an interception.
