NFL 'SNF' Week 10: Las Vegas Raiders vs. New York Jets betting picks, preview

The New York Jets will make their second straight appearance on primetime this week when they take on the Las Vegas Raiders on "Sunday Night Football." Until the NFL decides to flex New York out of primetime with Aaron Rodgers out of the lineup, we'll be subjected to its terrible offense led by Zach Wilson.

Well, they say money is in the crumbs, so let's make some with a few bets for this "SNF" matchup.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. New York Jets betting odds, preview

Spread: Jets -1, Over/under: 36.5, Moneyline: Jets -115 | Raiders -105

It's hard to rate these two teams right now. The Raiders recently lost to the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions in gutless performances, but they rebounded with a 30-6 victory against the New York Giants last week after replacing Josh McDaniels with Antonio Pierce. This is a rejuvenated team with its interim head coach.

As for the Jets, their offense looked putrid in their 27-6 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 9. If they turn the ball over and Zach Wilson isn't effective throwing the ball down the field, New York struggles to reach double-digit points.

That could be an issue against a Las Vegas defense that held the Giants to just six points and racked up eight sacks.

'Sunday Night Football' betting picks

Raiders moneyline (-105 DraftKings)

There's no evidence that states a new head coach can directly cause his players to perform better, but the Raiders looked inspired in their first game without McDaniels last week. It seems no one in the locker room enjoyed working for their old boss, but these players are ready to run through a brick wall for Pierce.

Against a below-average Jets offensive line, the Raiders should be able to generate a ton of pressure with Maxx Crosby and Co. Wilson struggles when he doesn't have time to throw, so unless Breece Hall runs wild on the ground, it's hard to imagine the Jets scoring enough to win this game.

Josh Jacobs over 63.5 rushing yards (-114 FanDuel)

With rookie QB Aidan O'Connell under center, the Raiders want to help him out as much as possible by pounding the rock. That's exactly what they did last week when they gave Jacobs 26 carries, and he paid them off for 96 yards and two touchdowns.

The Jets defense is great against the pass, but it ranks 22nd in the NFL in yards allowed per carry. This will be a run-heavy game plan for Las Vegas, so Jacobs should be able to clear this number on volume alone.
